Ciardasully Posted November 11, 2015 Author #55 Share Posted November 11, 2015 So we had reservations at 150 Central Park. We originally made them for 6 pm but then we learned the nursery would not be open until 8 pm that night. After we signed Maddy up for the nursery, we stopped by 150 Central Park to change our dining time. We were told it would be no problem and they didn't even take our name. I got ready for dinner while Bryon took Maddy to get a hot dog at the hot dog place on the Boardwalk. Unfortunately we both don't remember the name but it's the only hot dog place. Before he did that, he got me an Iced Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks. In addition to be a deliciously refreshing caffeinated beverage, is also came in handy when I burned my wrist on my curling wand. Ooops. After I was ready, Bryon came back and he got ready for dinner and I got Maddy ready for the nursery. I put her in her pajamas. We arrived at Royal Babies and Tots right before they opened at 8pm. There were lots of kids of all ages there and they were excited for their night of fun. We dropped Maddy off. Even though Maddy goes to daycare at home, I was nervous but she was more curious about the toys. After we dropped Maddy off, we made our way to dinner. We learned why they didn’t take our name with the reservation change. It wasn’t busy at all. We were seated promptly. Bryon ran back to the room because we had forgotten our bottle of wine. 150 Central Park is a tasting menu with 5 courses. The only choice one has is between beef and salmon. I took a picture of the menu but it is completely illegible but I will try to do my best for describing our courses. The first is the bread and salt. Each salt is naturally occurring and has a distinct flavor. The bright white one in the upper left corner is plain. And going clockwise from the plain salt the following flavors- herbe, rose, BBQ, Hawaiian and boiled egg. Amuse Bouche This was an amazing salad with farm fresh vegetables on creamy mozzarella. This pasta was filled with veal. Bryon took his first bite before I did and he tried to tell me that I wasn't going to like it and that I should give it to him. Nice try! It was delicious. The sauce had a different taste when it soaked bread as well. You had a choice between beef tenderloin and salmon. Bryon and I chose beef and it was delicious. Don't be fooled by the size in the picture. It was very filling. I had a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. Bryon thinks he had creme brulee but does not have a picture. When we were finished with dinner, it was time to go get Maddy. She was asleep and we called it a night.

Ciardasully Posted November 12, 2015 Author #57 Share Posted November 12, 2015 Good Morning Nassau! We got into Nassau early. We were not in a big rush to get off of the ship. We did not have any excursions planned. We went to have breakfast in the Windjammer.

Ciardasully Posted November 12, 2015 Author #59 Share Posted November 12, 2015 We went to get off the ship at around 10. It was a little hectic because we were told to exit the ship on deck 3. When we got to deck 3, we were told to go to deck 2 because we had a stroller. When we got to deck 2, they were telling people that they needed to go to deck 3 due to a drill. However, a crew member saw us and our stroller and brought us through the drill and to the exit. Bryon was so excited to see these.
Ciardasully Posted November 12, 2015 Author #60 Share Posted November 12, 2015 We had plans to go to Pirate Republic Brewing Company when it opened at 11 pm. We walked around until then. The Pirate Republican Brewing Company was not opened when we were there in 2013. Bryon wrote a full review of it on our website here. We were impressed and plan to be back. Here are some pictures. Ciardasully Posted November 12, 2015 Author #61 Share Posted November 12, 2015 After we left Pirate Brewing Company, Bryon and I went to the Tiki Bikini Hut on Junkanoo Beach. We tried to go there in 2013 but there was a voter referendum and the selling of alcohol was prohibited. Bryon decided to take advantage of the 2 beer, 4 shots and 2 coconut special. I wanted to like the coconut water but didn't.
Ciardasully Posted November 13, 2015 Author #62 Share Posted November 13, 2015 We decided to head back to the ship. We walk past some construction that was between the Hilton and Junkanoo Beach. It will be completed 2017 and is called The Pointe. Some photos near the ship.
Ciardasully Posted November 13, 2015 Author #63 Share Posted November 13, 2015 Just an example at how Nassau changed between our cruise in Jan 2013 and Oct 2015. Jan 2013 When we went through security, we had to wake Maddy to go through the medal detector. Then my bag got search. What they suspected was in there was...surprise...not in there! So that was fun. Ciardasully Posted November 13, 2015 Author #64 Share Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) We had a mission when we got back on the ship. Bryon and I had a bet. He said early on that I needed to do the zipline so I can write about it for our website. I said no way. Bryon said if I did the zipline then he would do the belly flop contest. That changed my mind. So I had signed the waiver online ahead of time so I go to the location at right side of the pool bar. We asked three times and were told to get in line on the other side. Well right before my turn, I was told that I needed a wrist and and that I needed to get into the (long) wrist band line. I was not happy as we had asked three people. So if you want to go on the zip line, get your bracelet first! Luckily the crew member got a release form to sign and I got to go. When I was up there, right before I stepped off, I thought I was going to die. And then I was off. It was over really quick. I did not look down though! Looks like someone was going to be doing the belly flop contest! Edited November 13, 2015 by Ciardasully
LuCruise Posted November 13, 2015 #65 Share Posted November 13, 2015 Yah...you did it. Looks like tons of fun, but can imagine it being scary too. So how did you find it in the end? Your ending made me laugh...looking forward to hearing how the belly flop content went. ;)
