West Bay Beach ???

I have heard this is one of the best beaches. Can anyone tell me how to get there? Is there a charge to use the beach? Any info appreciated.

West Bay beach is located about 25 minutes from the cruiseship dock.

When you get off the ship, there will be about 300 taxis shouting for your business. It can cost $15-$20 per person to get there in a taxi.

This experience of getting a cab, can be difficult for some people's nerves.

 

In addition, there are a variety of beach excursions to West Bay beach (including Tabayana excursion). You can book them onboard, or get one just outside the gate upon arrival. Be prepared to be with a busload of other people.

 

Alternatively, you can also rent scooters or motorcycles (hint, hint), and go anywhere you want....:cool:...as there is sooo much to see and do.

 

The beaches are all free; but you will have to pay to use each resort's lounge chairs, snorkel gear, etc...
