Allure of the Seas Boarding Nov 6th

Hi all, I just finished my online check in.. The boarding in the documents I printed are 3pm - 7pm. She sails at 8pm. If I arrive at Noon would I be able to board early? When is the earliest I could realistically board?

Probably however the ship has to clear customs/immigration because it's coming from a transatlantic cruise. I plan to arrive early just in case I can board earlier than 3:00.

It really depends. Lots of the time when a ship is returning to the US from a TA there are delays. Mainly because there are more inspections and customs issues that have to be done than are normally done at one time. You may end up sitting for 3+ hours or you may not, but my guess is you probably won't be able to board before 2-3 pm.

Is it always a crap shoot? Id hate to get there at noon and be stuck waiting 3 hrs.. Would calling ahead help? I am an hour and a half drive from the Port.

 

Even if I called them at 12.. I could be there at 1:30 if they told me its ok..

When a ship returns from being over seas for a season, as Allure was, there are many inspections that must be done. Just because the ship is arriving at 3AM doesn't mean that those inspections will start immediately.

 

First they have to deal with all the disembarking pax on board before embarkation can even begin. Remember, you are boarding the largest ship with the most pax on board.:)

 

USGA will go over the ship from stem to stern and all crew must go through Customs & Immigration. It just depends on how quickly everything can be handled.

I have done two cruises right after a ship returned from Europe and both times the boarding was delayed into early afternoon which of course has no affect on your cruise. Pier 18 has lots of seating if you have to wait
