Cannes film cruise

We're considering booking this cruise in May 2016 , does anyone who took this cruise in 2015 have any reviews on it and was Cannes easily accessible and enjoyable as far as getting access to the main thoroughfares because of the celebrities etc

Did it this year. It was very crowded. Some places were blocked off and you had to go around.

We also were aboard Equinox for this cruise, the film festival had no impact whatsoever.

Just be aware as Celebrity don't inform you until you arrive at the port that this cruise is subject to the Spanish VAT Tax, as all ports of call are within the EU.

Everything you buy aboard will cost 10% more minimum, anything in the shops will cost 21% more and since you are from UK you are unable to get any Tax refund like non-EU Passengers.

Took this cruise last May. Crowded yes but great people watching, lots of big yachts in the harbor and exotic cars on the streets. Don't know if they offering a special expensive excursion at the Radisson but the folks we spoke to were a bit disappointed in it. We spent the evening at the bar on the Lawn. Saw the fireworks and had a great time for $600 (2 people) less than those that tendered over to the city.

We are doing this cruise in 2016. Thanks for the info. When you say you spent the evening on the lawn was that a special event on the lawn deck of Equinox? It looks like Celebrity have stopped the Radisson trip or it is full as it is not showing as an option any more for 2016 but was a few months ago.

No event. Just a group from the role call and a few others we had met. Drinks at the Sunset Bar etc. My guess is after last year they won't do it again but if they do it needs to be much better.
