Downtown Fort-de-France

Just back from the cruise. In Martinique, we walked around the downtown area and went through the covered market. Lots of interesting veggies and spices. If you're a foodie, you'll especially like all the different spices. Other than that, not much to see. We had lunch at a recommended restaurant, The Yellow (it opened at noon). Food was delicious and our waiter (who was also the owner) did a great job of explaining the menu to us. Had an amazing pistachio creme brulee for dessert.

Did hear from others that the beaches at St. Pierre were very nice, and would probably try that next time instead of staying downtown.
