Where do cruise ships dock in Tortola

This will be our first visit to Tortola. Where does the Carnival cruise ships dock? Is it close to the main town? Any recommendations on places to do or beaches would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The port area has been upgraded with shops but Road Town is primarily a financial district near you. You will want to go to one of the beautiful beaches or hiking Sage Mt or take an inexpensive island tour with one of the drivers at the port. Or you can go to the Baths on Virgin Gorda.
