USD or £sterling

Hi,

Because we booked this cruise in the UK, all the excursion prices are quoted in £sterling. If we wait until boarding, excepting that excursions may be full by then and any disadvantage in currency exchange, is it better to pay in USD?

As an example: 5th December RIC-006 Hluhluwe Game Reserve is priced at £210 per person. Can anyone tell me what they paid or, from their Shore Excursion List the price, in USD, please?

We might be interested in joining others to make up a private tour for any of the following, the equivalent Oceania references being: WAL-009, WAL-016, RIC-006 as above, MOB-002 and CPT-014. Especially if less expensive as ship board.

Welcome to CC. Onboard the only currency is US $.

If you identify your ship and sailing, we would be happy to look up the price on a US website, but I'm not doing the research to identify it.

Find a private guide. More reasonable. Take a look at ports of call here on Cruise Critic or look at Trip Advisor. If you go back to previous Cape Town to Singapore cruises roll calls, you may find information there about private tours and it may help you on your search. Enjoy Africa and that cruise. We did it a couple of years ago and it was fantastic.
