What is your alcohol policy?

The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be limited to guests aged 21 years or older. Oceania Cruises will refuse and prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 21 years. Guests are kindly reminded to consume alcohol in moderation. Oceania Cruises reserves the right to prohibit and retain all alcohol bought ashore for consumption on board the vessel.

So, the answer is no.

If taking the written rule literally it is more accurate to say "it depends". The clause "reserves the right to prohibit and retain" is not a blanket prohibition but a statement that whether or not you will be allowed to keep the alcohol you brought on board is at the momentary discretion of the crew. Coupled with the "in moderation" statement that precedes it the safe conclusion is that the rule is in place simply to confiscate any shore-bought alcohol from someone who has been cut off on board.

But of course a current thread on this topic from the Oceania board is the best source of information.

no true...they reserve the right to prohibit, but they rarely do. Last year on our Med cruise we bought several bottles of liquor in Athens and carried it on with no problem. Just don't consume it in public areas and you will be fine.

Also one night a week Oceania has a two-hour happy hour with all drinks on the house.

Enjoy your cruise - the food is fantastic! be sure and try the lobster-filet mingon sandwich at the outside grill.
