HawaiianShirtDay Posted November 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Does anyone know where I can find a recent wine by the glass menu for Celebrity MDR? I think this will help with knowing if the Classic Beverage Package is a good choice for us. I'm curious about the amount of wines available for $9 or less per glass. cle-guy Posted November 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Here's a list I compiled from another poster's scans of menus from Reflection in September. It is only Wines for $13 or less (thus fit the PREMIUM package), There are several just outside this list you can get by paying only the difference in price if on Premium Package, if on Classic, you are limited to those $9 or less, and can not just pay the overage. The FULL wine menu lists can be found in the original post: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=47922246&postcount=1 SPARKLING $8 Brut, Celebrity Vintages, Loire, France $11 Brut, Domaine Chandon “Classic” California $9 Cava Brut, Codorníu, “Anna de Codorníu, Spain $9 PROSECCO, EXTRA DRY, FANTINEL, "CUVEE PRESTIGE", ITALY $9 Prosecco, Fantinel, Extra Dry, “Cuveé Prestige”, Friuli, Italy $8 Saumer Brut, Celebrity Vintages, Loire, France WHITE WINES $8.50 ALBARINO, RAIMAT, "CASTELL DE RAIMAT", COSTERS DEL SEGRE $8.50 CHARDONNAY, BENZIGER FAMILY WINERY, SONOMA COAST $10.50 CHARDONNAY, CELEBRITY CRUISES, "CELLAR MASTER", CALIFORNIA $9.50 CHENIN BLANC, KEN FORRESTER, STELLENBOSCH $11 GRÜNER VELTLINER, ANTON BAUER, "GMÖRK", WAGRAM $9 PINOT GRIGIO, BOLLINI, TRENTINO $9 RIESLING, KABINETT, J. & H . HawaiianShirtDay Posted November 6, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Wow, thanks! It's going to be tough to stay with the Classic package if prices go up.
cle-guy Posted November 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Wow, thanks! It's going to be tough to stay with the Classic package if prices go up. The way I always look at it is, if you might have just 1 martini each day at Martini bar, it's worth the $11.80 per day to upgrade, since the Martini's are $13. As to wines, you do get 15% off bottles with the Classic package (20% with premium), so it's a nice chance to try bottles of new stuff. They will hold bottles from day to day for you and deliver to your table, even if you move to a specialty. There are even a few good 'half bottles' I've enjoyed. The list is sorely missing Cabernets, which I like, but FreeMark Abbey is available for a $3 upcharge if you have the Premium package.
macaroni Posted November 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I think you wait till onboard...try for a few days and if you want, upgrade then...don't have to decide beforehand. We are going on a 14 day with the classic and will stick with that until we feel we are missing too much..then we may upgrade.
HawaiianShirtDay Posted November 6, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Thanks all! Maybe I should've asked in my original post, but does anyone know of you can get a decent option of beers at the $6 limit? I'm not too picky, just like 2-3 options. There was nothing at Cellar Masters menu within the classic package except Strongbow Cider. Your options are things like Corona, Bud Light, Heineken and Coors Light. The only one I'd drink regularly on the classic would be Leffe.

notsomadhatter Posted November 6, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Beer menu on Infinity from this past week's sailing (Oct 29). Hope it helps give you an idea.
cle-guy Posted November 6, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Cellar masters also has a Belgen Leffe - Blonde ale at $6, if in stock. But all other beers are over Classic there. Classic basically only provides the normal characters: • Budweiser • Coors Lite • Miller Lite • Heineken Light • Heineken • Corona • Corona Light Bud, Bud Lite https://secure.celebritycruises.com/celebrity/media/celebrity/shared_assets/pdf/Classic-Premium-Bev-Pckgs.pdf This is the full beer list at Cellar Masters (I honestly think they have more beer than wine these days) --scroll towards end. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_y5m8rqywINWmxHVGpwZ3MwUE0/view

I had it by the pool! :D
