Rainbowfalls Posted November 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2015 Hello all, My cruise is just two months away and I am ready to book our day passes for the british colonial hilton. I sent a request to the island marketing site and they said there are passes still available. However has anyone booked through them before? are they trust worthy? It is giving me an option to put 20% down now and the remainder due upon arrival to the hotel. has anyone done the deposit route? I dont want to get to the hotel and be turned away as this is our only option right now for Nassau. Also it says that the hotel only accepts credit cards. Does anyone know if this applys for debit as well? I have a debit mastercard and I have used it at places that takes credit as it does have the mastercard logo but not sure since I have never been there before. Sorry for all the questions but I am so nervous about this turning out bad.
Snow cat Posted November 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2015 I can't comment on Island Marketing specifically, but it is quite common to put 20% down and pay the remainder at the hotel.
xan51090 Posted November 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2015 We booked the BCH through Island Marketing for our April 2016 cruise. The deposit was made with a credit card. They sent us a confirmation that we are to print out and bring with us. The balance has to be paid with a credit card on the day we arrive. scubagirrl Posted November 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2015 Debit cards with Mastercard or Visa logos are accepted as credit cards. The only issue with using a debit card is that it takes longer to get a refund if necessary.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted November 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2015 We've used Island Marketing to get day passes at the RIU. No problems. Just print out your email confirmation and take it with you to the hotel. Personally, I would avoid using a debit card for security reasons. Rainbowfalls Posted November 14, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Thank you all! I was just so nervous since I experience a lot of issues with people booking third party myself at the hotel so I didn't want to be in the same situation :) thanks for helping me out everyone!
