Calling all Summit experts!

Hi cruising buddies,

I feel like I am spoiled with the S class ships. However, we are in the mood for a Bermuda cruise next May or June 2016. Will we like the Summit? And our cabin preferences are usually aft or Aqua. Or at the very least, mid-ship verandas. Are there any recommendations on the best cabins and locations? I really am unfamiliar with the layout.

This sailing leaves from Cape Liberty, which is very convenient for us, no flight necessary.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Susan

If you're booking early enough to score one of the aft Aqua cabins on deck 11, you'll love it. Other than that, I think I prefer the Aqua cabins on deck 9 since they have more cover. I think there are some good Concierge locations but you'd give up Blu and Persian Gardens.

Bermuda is a fantastic destination. You'll be docked there for three days so your on-board time may be different from the usual.

Been to Bermuda 8 times cruising and many other times. Have enjoyed the Summit immensely. We are suite persons, but have enjoyed visiting the other cabins you mention. Top deck aft IMHO is one of the best Aqua cabins available. You do get a lot of sun as there is no canopy, but the A/c always seemed to work fine inside the cabin. IMHO concierge cabins are real a waste of money. For a few dollars more you can go Aqua with their perks. I find cabins mid ship to be of a fair size, but if you don't get one of the sweet sixteen cabins (you can search these cabins to get more information) the balconies are quite small. All in all though the ship is great. Bermuda is great and you will not regret the decision.

Happy cruising

Friends, DW, and I take the repo home from San Juan every year, and I agree the aft aquas are great cabins. One caveat, however. We had 1130 this last April, and I can tell you the last day home from Bermuda was quite rough, and these aft aquas are not for anyone prone to motion issues. Early in the Bermuda season, this could be an issue. In calm waters, they are the best.

Also beware of the Deck 11 aft Aqua cabins as summit is getting a refurb in March that will add on outdoor movie dining venue above them and, so some are fearing they will become very loud and noisy when that happens.

Infinity just had its refurb to do this, but they have not completed the Movie section, supposed to be done for Dec 5 sailing, so watch Infinity reviews in December to see how it works out.

Not an expert but loved the Summit.

We had 6030, one of the sweet 16. Cheapest balcony but the balcony is double the regular size. Go figure.

One way or another , she's a great ship!

We have that exact cabin for Nov 2016. We typically book mid ship or near the aft and was just wondering if you felt lots of motion being close to the front of the ship.

I love the deck 11 afts along with Blu.

I wouldn't worry too much about the outdoor movie. It will not be above those deck 11 afts but nearer the pool.

If you want an Aqua class on deck 9, book something aft of 9108 on the starboard and I think it's 9127 on the port. These cabins are under the carpeted Oceanview and very quiet. The chair shuffling and general maintenance on deck 10 around the pool does bother some passengers in the predawn hours.

There are a two larger Concierge class cabins on 6 (6144 and its mirror image on the port side.) There are also two slightly smaller CC cabins (6136 I think...it's been a while.) The latter two are connected to a suite and have enhanced furnishings to complement the suite.

Don't have to tell you about Bermuda. You're more than likely more of an expert than I am.

Have a great cruise.

.

No it is absolutely above the deck 11 AFT aqua cabins. The TV screen is already posted on the aft side of the rear smokestack. Currently this space is a giant open space with just deck chairs. It DID NOT take over the basketball court space.

The TV is facing aft, the picture is taken standing at the aft railing on that deck.

I personally doing things this will be such a big deal to the cabins, but there are lots of people who get worked up about chairs overhead and feet shuffling.

We have been on the S class ships and really enjoyed them, but we LOVE the Summit. We have been on it once in the Caribbean and twice to Bermuda. We have a B2B scheduled for January on the Summit, and then another cruise in May to Bermuda. I don't think you will be disappointed. We really enjoy the deck 11 aqua cabins.

We have been on S class, which we love and on M class ships, which we love:D

Have recently been staying in Sky Suites and thought the ones on M class were not worth the money. Aft cabins are our favorite and would go back to AQ when we sail the Summit again. Luminae is wonderful but for the money I would take a AQ cabin and "suffer" to eat in BLU :o:D

You will love Summit as it is a different experience on the smaller ships. Great staff!

Enjoy your cruise.

Has anyone stayed in cabin 6146 on the Summit? We are booked in that cabin in August.

We just returned from our Summit Cruise in Sky Suite 6146, great room, even better since the Royal Suite next to us was not occupied.
