Drones

I am not sure if drones would be allowed on board.

Have seen one report where one was in use. It must have been set to return to land at the original location. However the ship was sailing so the coordinates where it took off were in the ocean when it went to land. Whoops!

I am guessing it may vary between companies.

It probably does depend on the company, but even on land, I've seen many reports where the "return to original location" didn't work out too well. With the high winds on a ship... yikes.

That said, drones are the one item that might cause even more rabid hatred than selfie sticks. I wouldn't risk bringing one just from the worry that someone might do something to it. Like take a selfie stick and swat it into the ocean. :)
