hexdragon Posted November 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2015 I know that you are not allowed to take photos in the Uffizi and the Academia (the repeated flash will destroy the pigments in the paint). Are you allowed to take photos in the Medici tombs? We were allowed to take pictures in St. Peter's....
euro cruiser Posted November 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2015 I don't remember any restrictions on photography but it's been a few years since I was there.

tommui987 Posted November 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2015 I know that you are not allowed to take photos in the Uffizi and the Academia (the repeated flash will destroy the pigments in the paint). . My wife, my son and I took at least 1000 photos in both the Ufizi and Academia last month. The only restriction was no photographs in the special visiting exhibit of paintings featuring St. Francis in the Academia. No flash of course. Even if flash were allowed, all it would do is cause a light reflection on the object being photographed
