Emmarose Posted November 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2015 We will be in St. Croix the end of January. Our ship is in port from 7 until 6 p.m. We would like an all inclusive with beautiful, calm beach, chairs and umbrella and good food and drinks. Are there any recommendations? If an all inclusive rate isn't available, does anyone have a recommendation?

Well Divi Carina Bay is the only "All-Inclusive" resort on the island but I'm pretty sure you have to actually stay the night in order to get that deal. Pretty much every beach bar on the west end will do a cruise ship deal where you get a couple chairs, an umbrella, and a couple drinks for a special rate. It's really more about where you want to be. If you want calm and quiet you'll probably want Sandcastle. If you want more activities and equipment you'll like Freedom City. If you want madness and crowds then Rainbow Beach will be your place. Figure about $25-30 for similar packages at all of these places.
Three hills Posted November 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2015 When we visited St Croix we went to Carambola beach Resort, on the suggestion of the tourist info kiosk at the port. Take an open taxi to the resort and ask the driver to come and pick you up at a given time. At the resort you can use their deck chairs, umbrellas, bathrooms, gazebo, hammocks, a restaurant on the beach with wifi and there was even a dive shop. They re-named it Renaissance Carambola a few years back but we all still call it Carambola.

drake2014 Posted January 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2016 How far is this resort from the pier? 10-11 miles. About half an hour via taxi van. Roughly $30 in cab fare, one-way.
