Cabin Phones

This may sound like a rediculous question, but are the room cabin phones wireless and work throughout the entire ship? We were on the NCL and Disney and they worked ship wide. They also could (poorly) send and recieve text messages.

The standard stateroom phones on Royal are not wireless.

 

In the past, Royal offered a very limited supply of DECT wireless phones you could rent at Guest Services, but I'm not sure this is still available.
