categories? What is the difference?

We will be on the Star Princess from Venice to Barcelona, leaving June 21st.

Our cabin was changed, without our knowledge or consent. We did pay a premium for the location of cabin # B615.( baha 615), which is a BC category.

After complaining that we did not want to change, we were told " TOO Bad"" and the cabin was given to someone else!

To make us happy, they said we have been upgraded

to cabin# C 601(Caribe 601), which is a BA category.

Does anyone know if this is an updgrade? We were told the cabin was larger.

Please help if you can.

Hi Ellen,

 

While perhaps not the best 'customer service' move with the unnecessary 'attitude,' rest assured, you've received a great new cabin!

 

We love the balcony cabins on the Caribe deck on the Grand class ships. The balconies are twice the size (about 9X9) and given that you've been upgraded to a a 'BA' cabin, you'll be in a great mid-ship location.

 

Note: all of the balcony (B_) cabins are the same size/layout, I believe - with the BB's on the aft a possible exception.

 

Enjoy the deck (also half covered/half exposed) and when you meet your cabin steward on the first day, slip him a few bucks as you shake his hand and ask if he could possibly bring a couple of loungers - you'll have your own piece of paradise for 7 fun filled days

Since it is a Mediterranean cruise, we will be given 12 days in paradise!

I love Vancouver, it's beautiful.

I lived there for 4 years as a child, in North Van, near Grouse Mountain.
