How to spend day before flight home

Okay, I've booked Galveston Express to get us to the hotel from the airport. I've booked a hotel in Galveston that has a shuttle to the ship. Two big decisions finally made! One last dilemma. The Liberty of the Seas comes into Galveston at 6:30 in the morning. My son and I don't fly out of Hobby until 6:30 that evening! Other than early morning flights...that's all that was available. So what do we do all day? I sure hate to think we'd sit in the airport all day, but without a car we are certainly limited. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Any suggestions?

I was reading about that tour. Sounds really great, but people were complaining how short it is and that there is very little time at the Space Center. Did you find this? Seems like a great option for us.
