sanmarcosman Posted December 6, 2015 #51 Share Posted December 6, 2015 The most important fact about Kathy Griffin... She is not funny Let's get the facts straight: opinions are not facts.
The4Cruisers Posted December 6, 2015 #52 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Ugh, there's a "headliner" that they'd have to pay me to see. Maybe they meant that they're going to put her image on the bow of the ship to scare off evil sea serpents!
The4Cruisers Posted December 6, 2015 #53 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Someone at Carnival doesn't have their finger on the pulse of entertainment. We saw that when they came out with the George Lopez comedy club. The guy is as funny as a flat tire in rush hour traffic.

IPlayWithString Posted December 6, 2015 #55 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Now, Jeff Dunham, on the other hand.......that I would pay $50.00 to see! He is FUNNY!!!! Me too. He's a fellow Dallasite and I think he's funny as hell.
AmberTeka Posted December 6, 2015 #56 Share Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) All qualities of a great comedian. A great comedian is timing. wit. even the expressions on their face. body language. Richard Pryor used blue language that would make a sailor blush, and he was funny. He was also non political. His barbs went everywhere. Eddie Murphy, when young, On SNL impossible to watch without howling. Kathy G. is a one woman insult machine, mostly against people she deems "conservative". Saying shocking things does not make you funny. JOAN RIVERS.............in my opinion, the funniest woman who ever lived, worked with her and had little pleasant to say about her. But if she makes a fortune from the mainstream Americans she mocks and insults...............that is the way of the world. YubaSutter Posted December 9, 2015 #57 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Saying shocking things does not make you funny. I disagree. Take Howard Stern for example. One of the funniest comedians around. He signed a $500 million deal for his comedy.

summersigh Posted December 9, 2015 #59 Share Posted December 9, 2015 I would not ever go see her. She's mean spirited and ugly minded. I totally agree with you ... in fact I wouldn't book a cruise if she's preforming. She's way beyond rude IMHO.
It's a Ship!!! Posted December 9, 2015 #60 Share Posted December 9, 2015 I wouldn't pay that much to see her, but I don't understand the hate. She's a comedian, it's her job to offend people. You can't take anything she says seriously. I like that they are trying this out and I hope it does well so they can continue to have comedians as part of Carnival Live. That way they might eventually bring on more of a variety and I'll find someone I am willing to pay $50 to see.
bradm77 Posted December 9, 2015 #61 Share Posted December 9, 2015 I would absolutely pay up to $200 for this show, but ONLY if she is performing her one-woman show, "Jerry Seinfeld is the Devil"!!!!! :p ;) :p

Jimmy Geegitz Posted December 9, 2015 #63 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Glad to hear she told Carnival up front she is not cleaning up her act. Everything on the table. Go get em girl!!

LuckyStar Posted December 10, 2015 #65 Share Posted December 10, 2015 I would like to see more comics. I would pay for Jim Gaffigan or Gabriel Ingleses. Me too. Love these guys. I'm ashamed to admit I only watch Kathy Griffin when I channel surf and her specials are on. She's like porn, you never want to admit you watch it. I sure wouldn't go on a cruise just for her. :D
Viesczy Posted December 11, 2015 #66 Share Posted December 11, 2015 The amount of Kathy hate is funny (funnier than her actually!)! I completely get why she's hated so much, she's just not funny/relevant any longer. Now those that find her rude would faint over Lisa Lampanelli! If she was on a sailing I was on, I'd go so her as I typically check out all the "talent", but I wouldn't sail just to see her.
hockeyluver Posted December 11, 2015 #67 Share Posted December 11, 2015 I have NO desire to see her. I'm not a prude, but I disagree with her in so many ways. I would avoid any ship she is on. C'mon Carnival, you can do better than that. I agree 100% !! If I were already booked on a cruise and they said she would be on it, I would be cancelling so fast!!! It's a Ship!!! Posted December 11, 2015 #68 Share Posted December 11, 2015 I agree 100% !! If I were already booked on a cruise and they said she would be on it, I would be cancelling so fast!!! Why? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm honestly curious. She will only be on the ship for a couple hours while her show is going on, so I don't see why you would cancel a vacation you probably spent a lot of time planning just because someone you don't like will be on the same ship with you for a little while. I'm actually surprised that Carnival isn't more aware of their audience and would book somebody who is sooooo polarizing.

C'mon Carnival, you can do better than that. I agree. If I were booked on a cruise and realized she was performing, I would cancel. Carnival can do better than that. I believe we should have a list of entertainers who will perform. My granddaughter loves Marcus Anthony. She was born with a cranial facial disorder and has had many surgeries in her short life. Every time he has entertained on the ship we were sailing on, he has been so nice to her. I would book just for her to see him.

maeormaenot Posted December 12, 2015 #75 Share Posted December 12, 2015 I have no desire to bw on a ship with anyone who speaks the phrase "suck it Jesus"! She takes stuff way too far. I'm glad I'm not alone in the opinion of canceling if she were to be in my cruise.
