I would never book a cruise that this vile lady is associated with. I am also surprised at Carnival for contracting with such a divisive individual.

 

Not only is she not funny. She is vulgar. She is an exhibitionists. She is also political. she is as far left wing as you can get and enjoys slamming anyone who does not agree with her views which are far out of the mainstream.

WoW!! I agree totally!!! I thought they billed this as a "concert" series. Already booked to see Journey on Victory in May 2015.

In fact, I read her book.

Not a fan of Kathy's but when I hear Jim Gaffigan's name all I wanna scream is HOT POCKET...ROFL ...I'd pay to see Rodney Carrington. There are so many funny people out there.

 

I'd like to see a mix of entertainers..can you imagine a small intimate Stevie Nicks concert? I love and adore Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20..he does many small casino shows..so why not Carnival? Someone at Carnival needs to let me have a shot at their job! Mix it up...;)

They couldn't even pay me to waste my time and see her. I like humor, not vulgarity, among other things. There are people who obviously like her though. Hope there are enough to make it worth Carnival's money (well, the customers' money, they'll just increase prices to make up for any loss)! :rolleyes:

While I have a long list of favorite comedians, I'd go see her. Her style of comedy isn't for everyone, but I think she's funny.

I have VERY mixed feelings about this.:(

 

On one hand, $50 to $200 is a little rich for my tastes. Especially with a comedian. The most you pay at The Punch Line in San Francisco is on average $20-30. And she does say a couple of things that are out of line.;)

 

OTOH, she supports gays and lesbians, the American troops and calls the Right and the Left out when they BS.:D

 

It will be interesting how well she sells. Obviously, Carnival feels they have the audience that can take her on.:p

I'm a fan and would happily pay, but I am a bit surprised only because typically cruise lines employee middle-of-the-road entertainers designed to appeal to a very wide audience. While Kathy Griffin has a very large fan base, its not very wide.

I would avoid any cruise shes appearing on. I know shes not sailing but I don't even want to be within 1000 feet of her. Shes so vulgar. Not my kind of funny. AND I'd never pay to see an entertainer above and beyond my cruise fare. Someone is desperate for her to be an "entertainer" on a Carnival ship. Its either her or Carnival. I'm sure she will be paid big bucks.

She's no more vulgar than the late night acts we enjoy on Carnival now.

You are correct. Kathy Griffin did a lengthy USO tour of both Afghanistan and Iraq back in 2006, I believe, during the thick of the fighting when other comedians would not. Like her or not her patriotism and willingness to support our fighting forces in the field was not lost on the troops nor those who command them.
