Sea days on NCL Epic

Someone posted the Dailies from an Epic cruise last summer in this thread. Not the same itinerary as yours, but you can check out Day 6 to get some idea of the activities offered on a sea day.

Keep in mind that these Dailies are from before the Epic's dry dock in September, and a few things have changed since then (like bowling in the Bliss Lounge, which is no longer available).

On sea days you'll find me sleeping for most of the time and coming out when people are on shore, but there is always something going on - depends what floats your boat.

Quiz/trivia games, activities such as yoga and dance classes, eating, alcohol tastings (Martini/Wine), eating, taster massages, demonstrations on how yellow your teeth are and how bad your posture is, reading/board/card games in the library, swimming/hot tub/slides on deck, eating, watching the world go by from a comfy chair.

Trivia, napping, reading, shopping, Casino, eating, dance lessons, napping (again), reading some more, pool games, drinks with umbrellas, eating, napping. Oh yeah did I mention napping. We have done Med cruise twice and the ports are so intensive that napping is a must on sea days.

Have fun

Hawkeyes

Thank you for the info

QUOTE=hawkeyetlse;48463344]I just uploaded a more recent sea day Daily from our Epic cruise last month. I'm also attaching the back page that shows the dining venues and other services around the ship, because a lot of them have extended daytime hours on sea days.

If it's a sea day, no one is on shore. .???

Napping on the quiet sun deck (deck 18 forward) if it's warm enough! That and the water slides are what I did on my only sea day on the Epic.
Yes, the 7-day itineraries on the Epic this year had only one sea day, and that is really too few in my opinion, especially on a megaship. I was glad when the afternoon stop in Palma was cancelled on our sailing and we ended up with an extra sea day on the last day. When that happens, they quickly put together a revised Daily with additional activities and dining options.

We just left the Epic on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise with 4 sea days. We purchased the Thermal Spa Pass and it was nice to relax to use the indoor pool area, the heated chairs, and the saunas. Considering that the ship can hold 4,000 people, it was nice to be in an area with typically less than 20 people at any one time.

Hope this helps,

Mark
