Anyone Stay In Cove Balcony 2288?

We stayed in a cove balcony cabin #2441 over Thanksgiving week on the Breeze.

It was a lovely cruise and our family had a wonderful trip, however I would advise anyone who is a light sleeper and who is sensitive to odors to reconsider picking cabin #2441.

I believe the noise is due to being under the galley, which resulted in loud noises ( think metal pots falling on the floor, sounds metal being dragged across floor, clanging metal, etc) very late at night and in early morning hours. It woke me on several occasions, but I just went back to sleep, so it didn't really affect me. It may affect people with small children or those who are light sleepers perhaps.

This particular cabin has a very strong sewage smell on the balcony that was present on day 1 and for most days. We were told by guest services this issue was known to them when we mentioned it to them and that they apologized for the smell and were " working on it. "

We just avoided going out on the balcony if the smell was present, as that kept the odor outside. Aside from the smelly balcony, the cabin was clean indoors and odor free.

However, those 2 cabin issues did not prevent us from having a blast on the Breeze. It was a wonderful vacation and the Breeze is a great ship that we highly enjoyed and recommend.

I believe you are directly under the Sapphire Dining Room. So should be relatively quiet except for dining times, if you hear anything at all. Below you are cabins. You may or may not have a slightly obstructed view out of the cove due to life rafts, but the way the balcony is constructed for the cove balconies (think giant oblong porthole), this shouldn't really be an issue.
