Enchantment New Years Eve

Leaving on the Enchantment on New Years Eve. Typically the first night is not a formal night. Will that be considered the formal night?

Are a lot less formal, I would bet that on New Years as well. But as X calls it Modern Chic will be the norm. If you want to dress formally you will not be out of place. JUST GUESSING, That cruise will have a lot of local Florida cruisers on board and they will probably be in the younger years, it will be FUN.

We haven't done Enchantment for NYE, but we do NYE out of Tampa on Radiance class ships every year, and NYE is always a dress to the nines type of evening. Special menu in the Dining Rooms, lots of parties going on, balloon drop and champagne at midnight. Some people go all out (Tails, long gowns and all), a lot of tuxes and cocktail dresses, but just as many in suits/sport coats, slacks and pant suits etc.

 

And then there's us - khaki's and a polo shirt with boat shoes and no socks :D

We Did NYE on Enchantment 2013 & 2014.

 

2013 NYE we just left CoCo Cay on way to Nassau. New Years Eve Party on the ship was incredible. Two Rock Bands in the centrum, Latin group in Boleros, Piano Soloist in the Schooner and the Ships Orchestra doing big band music in the Spotlight Lounge. They had the Viking Crown closed until 12:30am for the first party of the New Year that went from 12:30am until... There was a Midnight Buffet on the pool deck and it seemed every waitstaff member brought out trays of champagne about 11:45pm..

 

We had such a great time we did it again in 2014.

 

This time we were in Nassau on NYE, Left port about 10:30pm and anchored off the coast and watched all the different fireworks displays from Nassau (the biggest was from Atlantis).

 

This year we are doing Christmas & New Years on the 12 Day Holiday Serenade Cruise.
