Snorkel gear rental on ship

I'll be sailing on the Summit in a few weeks, our first with Celebrity.

 

Does anyone know if Celebrity rents snorkel gear on the ship? I've never been on a cruise where they did, but thought I'd ask.

 

We have our own gear but we won't be leaving for the cruise from home, we're vacationing for a week with family elsewhere and luggage space will be precious and snorkel gear for all of us take up so much space. I could rent at each port, but it would be so convenient if the ship had some to rent and keep for the duration of the cruise.

No, it can be rented ashore.

I pack mask and snorkel only and rent fins if needed (when there is a lot of current or I want to go out far). It's the fins that take a lot of room.

NCL did this years ago but haven't seen any cruise line do it in the last 10 years or so.

They do not rent snorkel gear but they sell it in the shore excursion area

I bring my own fins, mask and snorkel. One excursion a few years ago I used the provided equipment and could not find fins that fit, I have big feet :rolleyes:

We are also brining our own gear - and as a special tip - Cressi has snorkeling fins - PALAU (extra short but very efficient for snorkeling). Short is good for your luggage. Check out the link. Hope it helps!
