GreenGuyJ Posted December 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2015 Our cruise is stopping in Fredriksted for the day on Sunday, February 14th. We've rented a car and plan to drive out to Sandy Point since the beach will be open and I've heard it is pristine. Since it is Valentine's Day, I'd love to pick up some things to take as a picnic lunch. Can anyone recommend a grocer or deli in Fredriksted where I could grab some food and/or a bottle of wine? It would have to be open on Sunday's which I've read may be a problem...

I've attached a screenshot of google map directions to help get you there. I hope you enjoy your visit!
khm1 Posted December 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2015 Hello GreenGuyJ. My group is on the same cruise as you. We also plan on going to Sandy Point that day. I have been to St. Croix twice before and both times the park was not open. Where did you rent the car from? I was thinking of just getting a cab there. I saw on TripAdvisor that one reviewer did just that. Drake2014, what are your thoughts? Should I rent a car, or try and get a taxi? Thanks! Since you're in town less than a day it seems like a lot of hassle to rent a car.
