It was the locals in the Caribbean that suggested it actually. Plain ones are basically wheat flour, oats, corn meal type ingredients. They are far less harmful to the fish than the chemicals (lotion, sunscreen, shampoo, soap, makeup etc) we wear on our bodies.

 

 

Good read on the power strips, I'll just stick to the plug in type extra outlet adapters.

 

Not me. On days I go snorkeling, I don't put on makeup and use reef safe bug spray and spf.

And wheat flour, oats and corm meal are not a natural part of a fish's diet.

TSA may inspect your luggage & zip ties slow them down. I'd say get TSA approved locks, but had a friend try that & they just broke them to inspect inside the luggage.

 

Better advice is not to pack anything that you wouldn't care if it were lost or stolen; keep all valuables/essentials in your carry on. (I also roll my slothign & pack in very large ziplocs to minimize pawing through my clothing!)

In many ports, you won't be allowed to bring any food off the ship other than factory-sealed packaging. This would definitely include the items you've listed. I would imagine if someone is on an organized snorkeling trip, the company would probably provide approved fish food.

Always put your valuables and prescription medications in a carryon bag.

Things we found useful:

Highlighter - to highlight your daily.

Hooks with suction cups- hang wet bathing suits in shower

2 gal zip lock bag- take into port with you to put wet clothes in.

We bring at least 2 bathing suits each. That way you always have a dry one to where.

Most important thing to remember is to relax and have fun.

If it's budget?!! My advice is don't get off the ship, and stay away from Art auctions, and that place they call a Casino! And last but not least DON'T, go into the Jewelry store at the gift shop!!! Yet bring a Appetite, and loose fitting shorts. Oh and perhaps TUMS:D

can go off and not spend in a lot of cases though but temptation would be there to spend
