Recent Star cruisers; propulsion problems?

Off the STAR today, 12/27. Coming back to Tampa from Cozumel, the ship stopped dead in the water for about an hour. The Captain said they had an engine cylinder overtemperature alarm and was stopping to check it out.

We continued on back up at 17 knots and the Captain said nothing to worry about as they had a spare engine? We arrived early (3-4 hours) in Tampa as he said there might be fog.

Or perhaps to provide more repair time? Other than that, no other problems that we were aware of on the previous 6 days.
