Funship Dollars plus cash deposit?

I just found out about the funship dollars that you can buy as an onboard credit to your S&S card. Its my understanding that for the 4 day cruise if you do a cash deposit its $100. If I buy $100 in funship dollars and have them credited to my account before I board am I still required to put down a cash deposit also?

well i just called carnival and the rep said they would take both...they will apply everything towards your onboard credits but they will still need a credit card in case you go over...i think i'm going to just buy credits/funship dollars each payday and put them towards my account...then just give them a debit card...if i know i'm going to go over my credits then i will add cash to my account.
