starting to get nervous about my cabin 4207 on the sky, after looking more closely at the deck plans, wondering if it will be noisy, as we are right under the shore excursions desk of deck 5. We aren't early risers. I am also noticing, is the panoramic elevator right outside out cabin door? Anyone at all familiar with this area?

Sure beats being underneath a bar, night club, or dining room. If you have to be under a public space that's probably one of the quieter ones.

Elevators are around vestibules, so won't be right at your door.

No worries...area above is carpeted and little night traffic.

...and...The panoramic elevator does not descend to deck 4

oh good news about the elevator, and I am not worried about the late night traffic and noise ( I will probably be one of them!) I am worried about the earlier risers traffic, LOL!

Okay, let me dig back into my memories of 4 years on the Sky. That cabin is well outboard from the panoramic elevators and the atrium as well. The area behind the shorex desk on the starboard side, where your cabin is, was the hotel director's office, the food and beverage director's office, and the group services office. There isn't going to be much noise from these areas at any time of the day. Your cabin is very near the deck 5 entrance, so on embarkation and disembarkation days you may hear a bit of noise from security setting up for the gangway. The rest of the time, the passenger gangway is down on deck #3, so these entrances are not used. The area down the center of deck #4 is the room service galley and some crew quarters (traditionally casino staff). The crew assigned to these cabins are very mindful of their proximity to guests, so they are quiet.
