Hotels to stay near Tampa, FL port

Hi. We are attending a wedding on a cruise ship in April. The wedding is before we sail so we need to be on the ship early which in turn means we need to get into FL the day before. Any advice on hotels near the Tampa port? Thanks for any help for this first time cruiser!!

I haven't stayed at any hotel in the Tampa area, so I can't help you there.

 

I just wanted to suggest you look at the discussion threads again. You should find a section " North American Homeports ", where you will find "Florida Departures". If you ask your question there you will get many more responses.

 

The moderators of this site will likely move your question there as well.

Any of the hotels in downtown Tampa are close to the port. A couple I can think of are: Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, Embassy Suites Downtown, Courtyard Tampa Downtown.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites Downtown and Marriott Waterside (which is our favorite). Both were very nice!

 

You would only be about a mile from the port....

Do you know if the Embassy Suites has a shuttle to/from the cruise port?

No problem. I'm renting a car from the Avis that is at that hotel, so I'll check it out. Thanks anyhow.

Try Chase Suites or Holiday Inn in Rocky Pointe area. I know Chase Suites offers shuttle to port (have stated there numerous times.) :)
