Gaynors Posted December 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2015 We are booked in a standard balcony cabin on the Regal. We are traveling with our 2 kids (so there will be 4 of us) and I'm trying to find out the bedding arrangement for the 3rd and 4th passengers. Will there be 2 bunks, a pullout sleeper or a combo - 1 of each? According to the brochure it just says the room sleeps 4 :confused: and the website wasn't any help at all. So I figured these boards would have all the answers :D:D! Thanks!:)
goofy559 Posted December 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2015 In a regular balcony it will be 2 upper berths as the cabin does not have a sofa. Sent from my SGP312 using Forums mobile app
Gaynors Posted December 16, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted December 16, 2015 2 upper berths works great for us, but are they located above the queen size bed? The brochure does not indicate that the balcony door is blocked when the upper berth is used for our room, but I did see it for other rooms nearby. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Colo Cruiser Posted December 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Could be 2 bunks, or 1 bunk and a rollaway. Edited December 16, 2015 by Colo Cruiser
MJSailors Posted December 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2015 IMHO it will be tight in the balcony cabin with the bunks made up for sleeping. They are usually located in the ceilings or along the wall(s). They are pulled down or out with ladders for access. by the steward during the evening turndown service. Have you considered a Premium balcony? On the Regal that category cabin has a sofa. Also mini suites have a pull out sofa and a bathtub in the bathroom that may be helpful if your family includes small children.

We love it when when there are two bunks rather than sofa and bunk combo (have done both on other ships), it frees up some floor space and makes balcony access in the evening easier. If prices drop we would upgrade to premium balcony but for now..:rolleyes::o:o this is what we have.. Not worried so much about the square footage as we've done rooms much smaller with four us and not had problems, but having bunks does make it easier. For the most part we'll only be sleeping when all 4 beds are set up.... Having access to the balcony when all four beds are set up would be nice..
