Spirit Smoking Areas

Does anyone recall where all the smoking areas are on the Spirit? Decks, which side of ship, venues, etc? I'm not trying to start a smoking debate :eek:--it would just be helpful for me when picking a cabin. Thank you.

We were just on the Spirit a couple of weeks ago. Outdoor smoking areas are on deck 12 port side, in front of the Bier Garten on deck 13 and the deck 7 walking track. Indoors, I believe it's just the casino on deck 7 forward and the smoking lounge, I think also on deck 7.

One entire side of the pool deck is a smoking side also.

There is a smoking/cigar room hidden away, off of the Spinaker Lounge with good views & comfy leather seating.

There are tables outside the Irish Pub on deck 7.

The smoking lounge no longer exists, albeit it is indicated on the ship's deck plans. I was on the NCL Spirit in January 2016.

No, sadly. There are several tables/chairs outside Henry's Pub where many of us met and had cocktails and smokes before dinner. But you have to go inside to get your drinks.

I am just off the Spirit this past Saturday and the smoking lounge was absolutely there. One of my party was a smoker, and I spent time in there with her. It's just off to the right when you enter the Galaxy of the Stars. Perhaps it was closed for some reason on your sailing? My traveling companion was actually surprised at how smoker-friendly the ship was overall. There are lots of places, and yes, one side of the Biergarten is included. I actually thought having more places alleviated the problem of walking through periodic clouds because you've clustered all the smokers in one spot.

Well, after reading your reply saying there is indeed a smoking lounge on the Spirit has come as a surprise, I take back my comment.

I had asked several staff members, including our concierge, about its location and was told there was no longer that facility. I should have persevered and investigated myself! It's obviously well hidden from public view.

No worries! I'm wondering if it was temporarily closed for some reason, since you asked a bunch of people. It was a bit hidden, though, and you had to actually enter Galaxy of the Stars to find it. I'm sorry you missed out on using it - it was a nice room, with floor to ceiling windows and comfy chairs. It was also where they had cigars for sale, if you were so inclined.
