Booking Shore Excursions. (snorkeling)

Not safely. Snorkeling is swimming and diving with a mask and snorkel tube.

I am not much of a swimmer and I do just fine...

There is a float vest thingy to wear in the deeper water and it really really helps.

She might want to try it in a swimming pool or shallow water first...it takes some coordination to get the snorkel, flippers and vest all going in the same direction.

I panicked my first time and was headed back to the boat, ready to cry because I wanted to snorkel so bad. The guide was great, adjusted me and sent me back out with a rope to hang on to until I felt comfortable. I was the last one in at every stop after that.

Good luck!

Stef
