Real ceramic plates in Horizon Court

A few years ago, one could dine for dinner in Café Caribe with real ceramic plates and white tablecloths. Now it's "melmac/melamine" across the fleet. Having that extra ambiance, which can't be that bigga deal, was really nice when you wanted to eat upstairs. Does anyone know why they changed courses? We really loved that option...you could find a quiet table, almost "mood lighting" and decent plates with white tablecloths made for a pretty romantic setting. steve

Cafe Caribe is not an option on all ships. I guess they might do a bistro type thing in the evenings on the others, but the third buffet line is only a select few. Another consideration might be weight (of the plate, not the passenger, LOL) where filling it up with stuff makes it more difficult to carry and, thus, more prone to dropping and breaking.

I wonder if Café Caribe has been sacrificed to Crab Shack. On our 4 cruises this year I looked for it a few times, but that space was either not in use or set up for Crab Shack with regular buffet service at H Court. I might have just missed it.
