ready2cruzagain Posted December 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 25, 2015 You should have received an email telling you that the obc was approved, there is a phone number on that email that you need to contact.
Retired_to_Cruise Posted December 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2015 We just call our PVP and it gets done over the phone.
rlkubi Posted December 25, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted December 25, 2015 My PVP was out. I did get approval from the form but there was a difference in what I thought I should have and got in OBC. Then I figured out the taxes went up $25 and price was less. Anyone else have that happen?

If taxes went up $25 then your obc would be $25 less than what you thought.
rlkubi Posted December 25, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted December 25, 2015 But would they have changed my amount if I wouldn't have done price protection?
tandemcruzr Posted December 25, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 25, 2015 But would they have changed my amount if I wouldn't have done price protection? No. Your price would have stayed just as it was when you booked it.
ready2cruzagain Posted December 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 25, 2015 But would they have changed my amount if I wouldn't have done price protection? No, your taxes would have remained the same. This is one reason you should always check the taxes and port fees to see if they went up before you submit ES form. Once I had the price of the cruise go down $10 but the taxes went up $15, therefore I was not eligible for a price reduction.
rlkubi Posted December 25, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted December 25, 2015 But how would i know the taxes went up?
tandemcruzr Posted December 25, 2015 #11 Share Posted December 25, 2015 But how would i know the taxes went up? Do a 'mock' booking and you'll see the total 'cruise rate' plus the 'taxes, fees & port expenses.'
