Renewal of Vows on TP

My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary on the TP next July. The package offered for Renewal sounds nice - however - quick question? Is it a private ceremony for just the one couple; or do they group everyone together and do them all at the same time. If it's just for the one couple - we will book it - but We're not interested in a group renewal of vows.

Many thanks,

Sandy

Sandy,

My husband and I just renewed our vows on the TP in June. Once onboard, the hotel manager called us to schedule and asked me to choose the day. I chose the first formal night and she told me we would be the only couple. We were. It was incredible. Very special. She did tell me there were two other couples scheduled for the second formal night. I know their brochure states it might be a group ceremony, but perhaps this is more common on the bigger ships??? I just read another review (I think on the main Princess board) and they said there were 2-3 couples, but they did them individually. I say if you want to do it, go ahead. It's a very special time.

I just came back from the TP last month and we were considering doing the renewal of vows, but decided not to. We did go fo rthe deluxe anniversary package and for us it was very much worth the $420.

We got a few"extras" in it..

1. The booklet decribes just the waffle bathrobes we would be getting, but we got the more luxurous striped terry cloth robes.

2. We got an invitation for a bridge tour that was not mentioned as part of the package..just got a letter in our room to be at a certain spot at a certain time to meet up with a purser who would escort us to the bridge. WE met the captain and we had a great visit.

We loved having the canapes every night in our room. Sometimes they were savory and sometimes sweet..I think were given chocolate covered strawberries 2-3x! Yum!

We also got a 30 minute spa treatment each and a framed formal 8x10 portrait. You pick any photo and they blow it up and you pick a frame.

The champagne breakfast on our anniversary morning was nice and the champagne, roses and chocolate strawberry presentation was nice as well.

I am glad we decided not to review our vows, only because we were always running around and doing stuff and I would have felt extra pressure to look put together after a long day in the sun and saltwater..the extra treats we had from the package was fine for us.

I think we may renew on our vows when we do a land trip to the COoks...
