WIS-Cruiser Posted December 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2015 DH and I will be in Barbados on a Sunday in March. He doesn't want to snorkel and we prefer not to sit on a beach. I've read that shops will be closed, reviews of tours are mixed. What would you recommend we see? TIA!
muskatnuss Posted December 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Don't even think about going to Bridgetown to browse. Closed - everything. At the best, take a taxi tour around the Island. Most of the sites are open. Huntes Garden, Harrisons Cave, the east coast is wonderful. North to Animal Flower Cave. Or do Andromeda Gardens. Welchman Hall Gully......How about the Signal Stations.....

PORT ROYAL Posted January 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) DH and I will be in Barbados on a Sunday in March. He doesn't want to snorkel and we prefer not to sit on a beach. I've read that shops will be closed, reviews of tours are mixed. What would you recommend we see? TIA! Best rum tour by far. Plus being able to purchase a bottle of 15 year at half price, and have your bottle engraved for future use. Future refills are again at half price. http://www.stnicholasabbey.com/Visit/ The 15 year is a super rum. :D enjoy Edited January 10, 2016 by PORT ROYAL
OCruisers Posted January 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Even if you don't normally book excursions through the ship, Sundays in Barbados is a good time to do so. Whatever excursions booked with the ship will go on schedule. :)
