jimbug Posted October 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2005 That's a good question. At first glance, I was thinking, well, I'm sure it's just like other cruise ships...just plug it in! However, with it being a primarily European-sailing vessel, do they have the standard US plug-ins, or do we need an adaptor? Does anyone know? goldencup Posted October 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I'm from the UK so the electrical outlets were different from ours but I don't know if they're the same as the US. I just used a universal adapter - no problem. My electric toothbrush easily works for a week without charging.
jeb9860 Posted October 6, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2005 We were on the Atlantica last year and we used our cell phone charger and i don't remmeber using an adapter so I am connvinced that they are the same as the US.
lmf27 Posted October 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2005 We just returned from our Costa Magica cruise. Outlets not a problem for US. I did bring a converter but didn't need it. In our cabin we had one outlet for US and they others were for Europe. I used my curling iron, didn't have a problem. But didn't use it for our video camera didn't want to take the risk with blowing a fuse and it affecting the camera. But I didn't have a problem with either. Have a great time on your cruise. lmf27
