Non Beach suggestions needed for Freeport & Nassau with my 80 year old Mom

I'm taking my Mom on the Carnival Fantasy next week. She just turned 80. She is not a beach person and doesn't even own a bathing suit. Mostly we plan a lot of R & R on the ship but I do want to get off the ship on both islands.

 

In Nassau I think we can take a taxi to the chocolate factory, then over to Atlantis for some casino time, but I haven't found anything to do in Freeport.

 

Does anyone have suggestions for non-strenuous non-beach things to do in Freeport?

In Nassau I pretty much have the same plan with my mom, also 80, we are going to the chocolate factory and then John Watlings Rum distillery which is just up the road from the chocolate factory.

I might try to stop at the rum distillery too. Do you happen to know if it is within walking distance of the chocolate factory?

Graycliff is a place where they make chocolates. They have a good website.

 

We would take a taxi, with an older person, from place to place in Nassau due to the traffic.

 

Another nice place to visit and have tea is the British Colonial Hilton.

Thank you both for the info. I think these activities will fill up our day in Nassau quite nicely....Graycliff, the rum distillery, Atlantis casino and the Colonial Hilton.

MzLinda, just wondering what you ended up doing in Freeport with your Mom and how were your Nassau excursions??? Will be in similar situation the end of this month.
