Blu dining attendance

If you are in a speciality restaurant the fee includes the gratuity so thus is only an issue if you are in AQ and then use the MDR a number of times as your gratuities go to Blu. This was an issue before Luminae opened if you were in a suite. We always tried to eat in Blu before Luminae opened if we were in a suite and made sure, once we were happy that space in Blu was not an issue, that our gratuities were switched to where we were eating.

On our last trip we hardly ever sat in the same area, depends how busy it was. Rarely the same waiter, it felt more like they rotated where you sat to take it in turns to have a seat next to the window. Probably just coincidence as I'm sure they won't keep a record of where people sit.

We love Blu and we're happy enough to eat there for 2 weeks this time (our last trip was 8 days), we've heard so many good things about the other restaurants we've taken a dining package too this time. Change of scene too.

The staff in Blu and Luminae want you to be happy. They want you to return. Obviously this is to increase their chance of additional gratuities, but don't take offence if they ask why you ate elsewhere. We have had this happen, I don't blame them for asking, they're only wanting feedback.

The service in both restaurants has always been good apart from two trips on the last morning, once in Blu, once in Luminae and we put this down to their extra workload.

That's our experience as well...they want us to be happy. We don't care if we have the same server each night or not but it ends up that we usually do. All of our waiters have been great. We have never felt pressure from waiters to dine in Blu every night. Some waiters didn't mention our absence. Others may have said something like "we missed you last night. Did you eat in one of our specialty restaurants?" Nothing wrong with that, IMHO.
