New final deposit schedule and cancellation policy for NCL

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure the "deposit" amounts listed are entirely accurate. I booked a 13 day cruise and was only required to make a $200 deposit. Jan 2nd sailing, final payment due October 4th. I've already paid it entirely, but that's besides the point.

How many guests? And when did you book? For the past few months (at least since May, maybe longer), the Free At Sea promo has included half-price deposits as a hidden perk. So if you're cruising solo, and you booked during one of these promos, $200 is correct. The normal deposit for 10+ days is $400 per person (and it was already $400 last year).

Then that's why it was only $200 Solo in a studio. Booked last week.

NCL website always tells you when your deposit and final payment are due. Not sure why anyone would misunderstand.
Because lots of people book through TAs and receive nothing from NCL. They can consult their reservation on MyNCL, but there is no payment information displayed there, because that aspect of the booking is strictly between the customer and the TA.
