Boatingmom Posted January 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I'm confused. Can anybody tell me the difference besides $ and location? Thanks:)
CruisinHarvey Posted January 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2016 Vibe is a pay for option. It has a bar and loungers, as well as cabanas you can rent. It's very limited. Spice H20 is a public area at the back of the Epic, Breakaway, Getaway and Escape that is adult only during the day. It has either a waterfall or small pool(Epic). Boatingmom Posted January 3, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I'm still :confused:confused. Doesn't spice have a bar and loungers too?
Rare Cloudyrain Posted January 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2016 The vibe loungers are the padded kind. However, on the Breakaway we always managed to get padded beds on the fwd deck - we never bothered with them on the epic because Spice was always quite quiet and we could normally get the hot tub to ourselves due to it being port days when we went. There were also a few padded seats outside the public section of the Vibe bar. If we went back on the BA, or any Caribbean itinerary with only a few stops I would definitely pay for Vibe. However, in Europe we always found Spice adequate due to so many people being out on long port trips. Both have bars, and you can get lounger-side service in Spice, but when it's busy it's not always that easy and often easier just to go and get your own drinks. CruisinHarvey Posted January 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) Yes. they have a bar. But it's not private like Vibe. Vide is never crowded. They don't sell that many passes each week. If you go to Spice, later in the day, there may not be lounge chairs available. Vibe is a better atmosphere, but it costs. FranknBeans Posted January 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2016 The vibe has no children allowed.
ArtofStu Posted January 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2016 Just got back from a 7-day on the Escape. Vibe and H2O are both Adults Only. Both have bars and chairs. Spice H2O had a wave/waterfall thing to cool off in, as well as a hot tub and the big jumbotron and music playing all day. It could get very crowded and hard to find chairs, like the main deck. I had a vibe pass. There were ALWAYS chairs available, with padded cushions, a private bar that no one but members could use, private bar stewards, a private stash of beach towels (no deposit needed), a shower, and hot tub. There was a misting station that could fit a few chairs in (usually people just sat for one or two mists). Also umbrellas for use if it wasn't too windy. mrobstad Posted January 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Vibe is Mercedes. H2O is Chevy.

Kdiamond55 Posted February 15, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Can any recent cruisers comment on how early they arrived at the port and how difficult it was to attain these passes? And also, you go to deck 6 Guest Services, but which line exactly? Thanks!
mrobstad Posted February 15, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 15, 2016 On 1/17, for a 2 week BA cruise, we arrived at 9:30 am for the first boarding group. Oddly, passes did not sell out for a few hours. We figured that was because it was a port intensive, 2 week cruise with few children. At guest services, someone will direct you. Most people with early boarding are looking fir the Vibe pass at guest services. Finally, when I cruised during school vacations, all bets were off!
