Uso lax

It's an easy walk from the Southwest Airlines terminal. We had many hours to wait for our departure and were too early to check luggage so we rolled 4 bags (2pp) over to the USO, stored the 3 to-be-checked bags in their storage room, and kept the smaller (with valuables) carry-on with us...just parked the carry-on under an end table so it wouldn't be in the way.

Charming folks there and nice place to wait outside of security until we could check our luggage.

Be aware: they often get large numbers of soldiers/sailors/marines arriving, which fills the place up. They seem to know the approximate time the group will arrive. We decided to leave before that arrival so they could have more room; the staff told us we didn't need to leave...that they were only making us aware so we wouldn't be surprised, not so we'd leave. But their approximate arrival coincided with about the time we could check bags so we headed out.
