windyrock1 Posted January 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2016 We are a family group arriving on June 2 for the June 4 sailing of The Gem. A few months ago, I read that staying in Secaucus was a good idea. The hotel offered free parking and we could catch the nearby bus to Port Authority. Is this still a good option for us? Is there any place a little further out that still has good access to public transportation to PO? I am trying to avoid NJ congested traffic as much as possible. Is Secaucus easy to get to from Rte 3? Or is there a better suggestion? Thanks for all your help.
mjkacmom Posted January 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Secaucus hotels are very easy to get to from route 3, and then it's 5 miles or so to the Lincoln tunnel. Traffic gets worse as you get closer to the city, but it's not too bad at off times.

The Quality Inn, Courtyard and Renaissance are all in one area. Still right off route 3, and the traffic should be minimal on a Saturday. There a Medieval Times right there too. windyrock1 Posted January 6, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 6, 2016 I assume Lyndhurst is a nice area? Is it the same exit as Secaucus?
