Hflors Posted January 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We just got off the Amsterdam a couple of days ago and now realize that there were no 'wine paring" dinners in the Pinnacle grill? Does anyone know if HAL stopped them? The last one we attended last year on Ryndam we really enjoyed.
dontworry Posted January 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We were on Nieu AMSTERDAM in December and we had a wine pairing dinner in the Pinnacle. This particular one was limited to 12 people. Everything was so amazing. T he food and wine was to die for. The best one I have been to.
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We have been to many Chef Rudi's dinner also known as the Chef's Table dinner. Depending on the size of the ship it is limited to 12 or 18 people. However, on our Eurodam cruises in October we asked about this dinner and were told that it was not going to be offered either week because they had too many people getting free Pinnacle dinners due to the Explore4 program and the Dine Around program. On longer cruises we have also had the Cellar Master's dinner that had the wine pairings. No limit as to how many can attend. It was held in the front section of the Pinnacle and the last time we did it, there were 50+ people there. There is still the wine pairing you can pay extra for at Le Cirque. We did it the first time we did Le Cirque and were disappointed in the wines -- just the ordinary house wines -- a couple of ounces of 3 wines per person. jaspersmycat Posted January 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2016 There were no Cellar Master dinners on the Prinsendam Holiday Cruise. I asked the Cellar Master and he said the promotions that included free Pinnacle Grill dinners had filled all the nights of the cruise so he was unable to schedule one. This probably happened on other Holiday cruises.
