Hi cruisers. Just thought I'd start thread. I've never cruised with Cunard and have been hearing mixed reviews from fellow cruisers. Some said the entertainment was particularly poor. Is that true?

If you regard the entertainment as an important part of a cruise you will in the main be disappointed, not only on Cunard incidently. Having said that I have seen some outstanding entertainment along with the mainly mediocre.

Most passengers are not bothered though, it's only an hour in the evening and you can always walk out.

Wouldn't stop me cruising.

David.

Just disembarked from Queen Victoria after a great cruise. I have to say that we were disappointed with the entertainment. There was only 1 production show in 7 nights and personally I thought that it was disappointing. It was dance based and was not to my taste.

On the other nights I think there was a trio of singers (twice), a pianist, a comedy act and one other. They did not tempt us. However, we thought the ship, the food and generally the service aboard was superb ( we were in PG) but if you like glitzy Broadway type shows, I would suggest that this is not the line for you

Thanks for the information. It is quite some time since I cruised where I could honestly say that the entertainment was worth watching. Glad to hear that all other aspects of the cruise were more than acceptable.

I was on the same cruise.

A group of us would go every evening to the 10.30pm theatre show, and invariably the theatre was full.

Judging by the audience's reaction to the acts, they were very popular.

We enjoyed all the acts, especially the pianist/comedian Jon Courtenay, who was extremely funny, and The Flyrights singers who specialised in Motown, and Soul.
