Bruin Steve Posted January 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) It's not a bad hotel at all...I relegate it to my "B list" mostly for location... Find a map of Long Beach and imagine a triangle drawn approximately between the Aquarium, the Renaissance Hotel (Ocean and Pine) and Shoreline Village...That is the area with the bulk of the restaurants, tourist shopping, and walking area...My "A list" hotels--the Hyatt Regency, Hyatt at the Pike and the Renaissance are all in that area (the Westin is also just outside, but just a little closer)...meaning a very short walk to most of what you want to be near...and with regularly scheduled Passport Free Shuttle stops at the Aquarium, at Shoreline Village and at the Renaissance...You will note that the Hilton is sort of a few blocks out of the way...Definitely still walkable, but not quite the level of convenience...Otherwise, as a hotel, it IS a Hilton, so there are certain standards maintained... If it is that you have retrievable Hilton points, sure, not a bad choice... Edited January 8, 2016 by Bruin Steve
KeepCalmBearOn Posted January 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Anyone stay here pre-cruise? Thoughts? My thoughts are it is not a great hotel and there are much better choices. What is your budget? If you are using Hilton points (or collecting), I'd rather stay at the Doubletree Hotel.
