Cruisennerable Posted January 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2016 A few questions about the MDR 1. Do they post the MDR menus for the evening meal in the morning? It would be nice to decide on specialty menus prior to booking or to know how to order for room service 2. What kind of food is served for breakfast or lunch in the MDR

What kind of food is served for breakfast or lunch in the MDR They usually post the MDR menus right after lunch maybe earlier on port days when the MDR is closed. If you wish to order room service off the MDR menu just ask your steward for the menu. Specialty restaurant meals are not available from Room Service. Their menus are posted outside the venues and do not change nightly.

rjrpar Posted January 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2016 I think the menus are on the in-room tv
DebbieMacG Posted January 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2016 I think the menus are on the in-room tv No they aren't on the tv. As someone has said they are posted outside the dining room after lunch on a sea day or a little earlier on a port day. If you wish to order from the mdr in your cabin you need to ask the room attendant for a menu. The meal will be served all at the same time unless you are in a suite and then you can request course by course.

Cruise_Dancer Posted January 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Thanks a million Glad to help. We found the MDR breakfast to be disappointing. The eggs Benedict and mimosas were better than in the Oceanview, but not by much. Service was adequate but surprisingly delayed. Everything else was roughly the same as in the Oceanview, and as you can see from the menu, the selection was surprisingly limited. After one MDR breakfast, we did all our others in the Oceanview.
