lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Hmm...not sure why some can't see pictures. I'm loading them from Google Drive, which I believe worked when I did my last review. I'm purposely not loading them from FB because usually that's when they disappear. I'll continue on and hopefully the photos will show up.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted January 12, 2016 DH and I woke up and ate breakfast together on Lido. After breakfast DH went to Bingo and I took some pictures and hung out on Serenity for a bit. Here's a view from our stateroom window: Breakfast: Aft pool: One of my favorites:

lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) After that I went to the Ivanhoe Theatre to check for DH and I saw mom and dad there too, all playing Bingo. After Bingo we went back to the room and then I went to check the photos. I couldn't find any photos from the dining room the night before and I didn't find the ship magnet I wanted either. DH ended up booking the Behind the Fun Tour. I was surprised that there were spots left. DH then went off on his own and I went up to look at the photos again where I met up with dad. We both looked and couldn't find any photos of us. We met mom for lunch on Lido and halfway through DH showed. After lunch, DH went back to the room to watch a football game, aka, take a nap. I went to the future cruise talk, but didn't really learn anything new besides that there will be a new Carnival ship in 2018 and that Carnival is building a pier at Playa del Carmen across from Cozumel. Mom and I went to Tea Time. I don't like tea so I left the tea bag in there for like a half a second and added a sugar packet. Lol! I had lemon cake (not that good) and a cucumber sandwich. lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #30 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) After Tea Time, we got ready for Elegant Night. Mom came knocking on my door and told me she forgot to pack her formal dress! DH forgot to pack his dress shoes. Lol! Mom ended up buying a long black dress from the gift shop and DH wore sandals with dress socks. lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #31 Share Posted January 12, 2016 We had formal photos taken before eating in the MDR. I will put those in at the end of my review. Our head waiter's name was Bosko. The assistant waiter was D'Roberto or something similar. He didn't know my name either. He guessed four times and was still wrong. I didn't bring my camera to dinner every night, but I did on elegant night. Food porn heading your way...
lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #32 Share Posted January 12, 2016 After dinner, we relaxed in our rooms. DH wasn't feeling well, so I met mom and dad and we went to see the show Nightclub Express. Boy, it was good! It was an old school Carnival show with live orchestra, lots of scenery changes and a bunch of dancers. It even had a talking couch and a dancing cow! Much better than the Playlist Productions crappy shows which is what all Carnival ships will eventually have.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 12, 2016 Author #34 Share Posted January 12, 2016 We woke up at 7 a.m. DH left the room before me to watch the ship pull into Amber Cove. I ate two cinnamon buns and took a couple of pictures and then went back to the room to finish getting ready. They coralled all the shore excursion people into the Ivanhoe Theatre to then just have us all go down to Deck 0 to meet our tours at the end of the pier anyway. Dumb! Dad and DH went on the Mega Truck and Beach Break excursion and mom and I did the Dolphin Encounter at Ocean World. Ralphinsc Posted January 12, 2016 #36 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Every post from #27 on is showing with the pictures, but the earlier ones starting at post #4 are not. Post #1 and #2 both have pictures. Don't know what went screwy, but it's working now. Just thought I'd leave the post 3's in case you wanted to go back and edit. Love all the pictures of the Valor! 80 more days until we are on her!

lovestocruise19 Posted January 13, 2016 Author #41 Share Posted January 13, 2016 It was a very short ride to Ocean World, only about 10 minutes. Mom and I did the dolphin encounter first. Our dolphin's name was Luna and she was three years old. We got to pet her, kiss her, hug her and feed her fish. When it was my turn, the guide asked if I wanted to be funny and I said sure. He got a fish and told me to put it in my mouth. I was like what? I didn't want to be a poor sport, so I gingerly put the fish in my teeth. Then the guide was like no, no, I didn't say your mouth, I said the dolphin's mouth. Everybody laughed. At the end of the encounter, mom and I bought all 37 photos they took for $60. They put them on a disc and I haven't gotten them off the disc yet, so I'll add those pictures at the end of my review. However, I do have the picture of the fish in my mouth because apparently a Carnival photographer was there too, which I was unaware of.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 14, 2016 Author #48 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Thank you fellow cruiser for taking this shot of me and mom. Thataway is where the pool is, but mom and I didn't go over there to explore as it was almost back onboard time. I'll be interested in checking it out if I end up going back to Amber Cove. lovestocruise19 Posted January 14, 2016 Author #49 Share Posted January 14, 2016 DH and dad got back to the ship about 10 minutes after mom and I. We all went to Lido for ice cream and then bought formal night photos. After that we went to the secret deck to catch the tail end of sailaway.
