American Express cards- which banks ATM's in FP

Hi, can anyone tell me what bank (and ATM's) in FP are American Express card friendly? After 32 minutes, 3 people, 2 explainations that Tahiti was not in Hawaii or the Caribbean, I gave up on the American Express help line! Thanks

I think it's hit and miss....my visa only worked in a few. On Tahiti the banks are much more abundant than any other island, so don't count on being able to use an ATM much. The cruise is good about cash advances, and you can get cash from the casino. Most places, shops and even smaller vendors will accept USD.
