txaggie14 Posted January 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2016 My husband and I will be in Belize City in March with our Royal Caribbean cruise. I will be about 20 weeks pregnant. What kind of fun things can we do?
ABQrobin Posted January 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Book an excursion. Nothing really to do once you leave the port/dock area.
Sooner-Cruisers Posted January 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Interesting read since you are pregnant and traveling to the Caribbean: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/14/health/zika-virus-cdc-travel-warning-brazil-caribbean.html?_r=
ABQrobin Posted January 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Everyone is more likely to "catch" something onboard the ship! Thousands of people all crammed into one boat for a week, who knows who washes their hands, who sneezes all over every surface! I think Carnival does a great job of constantly cleaning and sanitizing everything, but I am honestly more afraid of catching something from another passenger than I am of catching something from a port of call. txaggie14 Posted January 15, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 15, 2016 (edited) I'll make sure to wear bug spray when I'm in Belize lol. We are going on Royal Caribbean and I'm not really worried about catching sickness. I've been before and had no problems. Its just a media scare tactic. I'll be sure to bring Echinacea and stay away from other people. Edited January 15, 2016 by txaggie14
